|
We are pleased to announce the release of Rick Clark's new book, Mixing Recording and Producing Techniques of the Pros, destined to become resource for recording and audio arts programs. Included in the book are numerous quotes and segments written by Cookie Marenco, founder of Blue Coast Records, an audiophile label. In the book, her proprietary recording technique, Extended Sound Environment (E.S.E.) is thoroughly described. E.S.E. has set a new standard for acoustic recording. The book is now available at our site with 10% discount until Aug 31, 2010.
Marenco began her recording career more than 20 years ago with an ear towards recording acoustic music whether, jazz, classical, folk, rock or world musics. She quickly became known as a specialist in capturing a high quality sound at OTR Studios, her Bay Area recording facility. Her recording ability and production came to the attention of Windham Hill Records in the late 80's where she was eventually hired to produce. She went on to receive a gold record for her production of Winter Solstice 2, 5 grammy nominations and pioneering digital downloads with Liquid Audio in the 90's. In 2002, she began a collaboration with Jean Claude Reynaud which led to Blue Coast Records. While Blue Coast Records continues to explore 96kHz downloads, DSD, SACD and other high resolution formats, Marenco continues to produce for major artists and labels. Most recently, Marenco has formed a second production team creating high resolution downloads for the masses through Downloads NOW! |
