Art Lande (piano) and Bruce Williamson (alto sax) were at OTR Studios (home base for Cookie Marenco) on May 21, 2009. At the end of the session, we asked if they could perform a little tidbit for our fans at Blue Coast Records. For something a little different, producer Cookie Marenco, asked these two fine jazz musicians if they could play a medley of Duke Ellington songs followed by an "Impressionistic" version inspired by what they had just played.

The music is moody and soft, and reflective of musical crossroads somewhere between classical, experimental modern and jazz. It's always fun to have great friends together in a room performing. We hope you enjoy and well come your comments!
